The winter holiday season, including Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year’s, is typically a fun and happy time for most, filled with parties, social gatherings and get-togethers with friends and family. However, for some, this time of the year is filled with sadness, self-reflection, stress, loneliness, and anxiety.
“Holiday Blues” can affect those already living with mental health problems, as well as healthy individuals.
We’ve put together a list of ideas to help overcome the Holiday Blues. However, if January rolls around and you are still feeling stressed, anxious or depressed, consider seeking help- the CFSSC offers free walk-in counselling clinics around the region or call to book an appointment: (705) 726-2503.
