From preschoolers to older adults, CFS invites Simcoe Muskoka community members to engage in the mental health and wellbeing of their relationships, their families and themselves. Whether you’re local born, or have adopted our regional community along the way, CFS Counselling + Wellbeing is your local family service agency.

CFS adds new in-person counselling locations

Virtual counselling remains available to all residents and employees of Simcoe County and the District of Muskoka. But new in-person #ready2talk clinics are now available with an appointment in Collingwood, Innisfil and Wasaga Beach. These join our existing locations in Barrie, Midland and Orillia. As always, all #ready2talk counselling clinics offer top-quality services at no cost to clients, courtesy of our program funding from the Ministry of Health. NOTE: CFS is not a crisis service.

Walk-in Counselling: Back by Popular Demand!

According to our client surveys and feedback from our community partners, community members missed our no-appointments-necessary walk-in counselling clinics. So we re-opened our walk-in counselling every Wednesday at our Barrie location. CFS’s no-cost #ready2talk Counselling Clinics for adults and our YouthCALL Counselling Clinic (12-25yrs) are both open Wednesday afternoons from noon-8pm. Please note, reception is closed for dinner break from 4:30-5:30 and the last session starts at 6:30pm. These clinics are first come, first served – arrive early to avoid disappointment. NOTE: CFS is not a crisis service.

Hope lives here!

What our clients say…

{

I thank you so much for giving this person to me to help me. She does not tell you what to do but pulls the answers from you on how to solve your own problems. She’s respectful and honours people and meets them where they are emotionally. I can’t say enough about her. She is truly one of the gifted people practicing.

Thank you so much. I’m excited to attend other webinars. The presenter is easy to listen to and is likable. I think these qualities are important.

MindSelf Client

My counsellor has been an amazing person to talk with. He’s kind, very good with advice, and he reminded me that I don’t have to be “the strong one” and that showing my vulnerabilities is not weak, but rather brave, and shows that I have strength. When I told him about how I was struggling with anxiety, he taught me how I could live in the present moment, and gave me breathing exercises that I could discreetly use without others noticing.
