Fundraise for Us
Are you interested in strengthening and enriching lives across Simcoe County? Hosting a fundraising event on our behalf is a great way to do that. You can have fun, support a great cause and feel good about what your doing too! No event is too big or too small.
If you are planning on hosting an event, your first steps will be filling out our Fundraising Event Registration Form and carefully reviewing our Fundraising Event Guidelines. These forms help us keep track of your event so we can properly recognize all of the hard work put into it! They also help us to ensure that each event is consistent with our vision and values.
Thank you for considering becoming the host of a fundraising event for CFS! If you have any questions or concerns please contact us by clicking here.

On your own
Ready to take on a fundraising challenge? Try hosting a garage sale, themed party, wine and cheese night or book club. These can be great ways to spend fun, quality time with the people in you care about while supporting a great cause.
In a group
Are you part of a sports team, committee or volunteer group looking to help out? A car wash, block party or neighbourhood garage sale could be the ideal fundraiser for you. This is the perfect opportunity to strength your group relationships by spending time together off the court or field.
At work
Get your company and co-workers involved by hosting a dress down day or coffee morning. Your company may even offer to make a matching donation!
At school
Are you connected to an elementary, high-school or post-secondary institution with other people looking to make a difference in your community? Why not host a loonie or toonie drive, a bake sale, book sale or sports competition? Motivate the people around you to get involved, have fun and promote good health.

Recognition Time
A primary goal of fundraising is raising money – and we love accepting cheques at fundraisers or in a photo after the fact. If you’re into it, we also appreciate showing you off as a role model and a valued member of the CFS team. That could mean being profiled in a blog, photos on socials, or a media release – we can decide together. There might also be an nomination for a Hopeful Heart Award in your future!
Client Rights & Responsiblies
At CFS Counselling + Wellbeing, we foster a culture of mutual respect and inclusivity, where everyone feels safe and valued. We do not tolerate discriminatory or aggressive behaviors and expect all clients, staff, volunteers, and partners to contribute to this positive environment. I understand that a failure to uphold this culture of respect may result in termination of services.
Frequently Asked Questions
Thank you for considering CFS as you plan to invest in a fundraising activity!
We’re sure you have questions and this is a place to start. While you can contact Michele at 1-888-726-2503, ext. 121 or mlawson@cfssc.ca, we’ve also compiled this list of FAQs for you to browse in the meantime. Maybe your question will be on the list!
CLOSED
I’d like to hold my own fundraising event and give the proceeds to CFS. Is there a process to make this official?
Thank you! We love third-party fundraisers (as this is called). Yes, please see the form that’s available on this page to apply to become an official CFS fundraiser. If approved, you will be entitled to use the CFS logo and access other supports. Once the CFS team has reviewed your application (expected review time is two weeks from receipt), we’ll be in touch to discuss next steps!
Are there regular CFS fundraising campaigns I can support by sharing on my social media feeds and donating to?
Absolutely! To stay up-to-date, please follow CFS on Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn – and share, etc.. Our handle is @cfscounselling. Additionally, you can find YouthCALL-specific Instagram at @youthcallhub.
If I buy a ticket to a fundraising event, do I get a charitable receipt for tax purposes in the full amount of the ticket?
Since a charitable receipt is only given out by law for an unrewarded gift, receipts for fundraisers are in the amount that reflects that regulation. For example, if your fundraiser ticket price includes a meal or other benefit, the cost of that meal/benefit would be deducted from the ticket price.
How do I know what fundraising events CFS has planned?
Please follow us on our social media channels, check our website event page, and/or sign up for our newsletter to stay up-to-date!
I have questions about CFS fundraisers. Who can I talk to?
Please contact our Business Development Manager Michele Lawson directly by phone (1-888-726-2503, ext. 121) or email (mlawson@cfssc.ca).
