Caregivers Counselling and Education

Seniors Outreach

Anyone can find themselves in the caregiving role. A caregiver is a person who provides informal and unpaid personal care, support and/or help to another person because that other person lives with challenges due to a disability, an illness, an injury and/or aging.

Many caregivers feel frustrated at their inability to meet all the needs of the individual they’re caring for or to balance their caring roles and their own personal lives.

Caregivers are often juggling several responsibilities, such as caring for their loved one, raising a family, working full-time, volunteering and personal interests. Especially over a long period of time, caring for someone can be physically and emotionally draining.

You may find yourself feeling forced to continually do routine tasks, while wishing you were someplace else and/or feeling: a sense of loss, fear, anger, resentment, or depression…

Clinicians at CFS Counselling + Wellbeing understand that every family is unique. Our team is committed to providing counselling geared towards your personal needs, whether that’s providing: a space to express your challenges, facilitating problem-solving or coping strategies to manage stress, and/or providing resources that may assist. Let us care for you!
